Cat duet – orchestra arrangement – Pauline Tunsley y Elizabeth Vaugham, Ano 1996 – Acá dejo una curiosidad de la música clásica, en este video un dueto que interpreta una obra de Rossini. Se trata del “Dúo de los gatos”, un famoso y cómico dueto donde sólo aparece la palabra “miau” repetida muchas veces y de muchas formas, causando esto gran dificultad para quienes lo interpretan. El dúo de los gatos, no pertenece a ninguna Ópera de Rossini. Es un dueto buffo que se dice fue escrito por el compositor, para mofarse de sus sopranos que desafinaban y en honor de un par de gatos que todas las mañanas venían a visitarlo a su ventana en su casa de Padua.
Existe la versión para piano y dúo y también una para orquesta y coro.
